Based on a large number of feedbacks from our users, we have introduced certain quality standards for all books listed on the website. To maintain these standards, a Quality Assurance Software (QAS) periodically checks all books listed on the website and takes an appropriate action if required.
The quality standards are as follows in black colour (the text in red colour describes the action taken by the Quality Assurance Software if the particular standard is not maintained).
1. Books must not be fake or ambiguous. For each book, the ‘Title’ and the ‘author’ fields must be correctly and unambiguously filled.
Action taken by QAS: Books considered to be fake or ambiguous are suspended. The user may edit a suspended book and resubmit it for review by the QAS.
2. The ‘Title’ and the ‘author’ fields of each book must not contain any obscene language, and should be free of spelling mistakes.
Action taken by QAS: Books containing any obscene language in the ‘title’ or ‘author’ field are deleted. Any obvious errors in the ‘Title’ and ‘author’ fields are corrected.
3. A user must not list a book more than once at the same or different selling prices.
Action taken by QAS: If a user has listed a book more than once, only one book at the lowest selling price is retained, while the remaining duplicate books are suspended.
4. Books should not remain listed on the website for more than three months unless validated by the user at the end of three months period. This is to ensure that the books which have been sold or given away are deleted.
Action taken by QAS: If a book has been on the website for over three months, an email will be sent to the seller advising him/her to validate the book within a period of 15 days. If the user validates his book within time, the book will be retained for another three months, otherwise the book will be deleted.
